As I sit here remembering my time with baby Edgar and his beautiful family I am in awe of how one little man had such a huge impact on so many people.
After a healthy pregnancy Edgar began to have seizures and severe apena attacks shortly after birth. Once on a ventilator his parents were prepared for the worst. He was not expected to survive once it was removed. I cannot begin to imagine the emotion of those first independent breaths.
Edgar was a fighter and proved the Doctors wrong countless times. He was able to meet his fur siblings Gracie and Jack and see the amazing nursery his parents had prepared. He met so many people, shared countless cuddles and listened to their stories.
On September 11 Edgar lost his fight against his undiagnosable disease. It took him just months to give more than many do in a lifetime. His family always said he was too beautiful for this world, when you look at these images it is easy to see why.
I was lucky enough to spend a morning with him in his home and capture these special moments for his family. Memories of a perfect day with a perfect little man.
Edgar left a mark on all who met him, including me. He reminded me just how precious life is. To slow down.
To be thankful for the small things.
